EDA is seeking a full-time or possibly part-time entry- to mid-level Environmental Scientist.   Please be advised that at this time, we are focusing our candidate search only on in-State applicants that do not need to relocate in order to work from our home office in Delray Beach, Florida.  Therefore, we will not consider or respond to out-of-state applications.   While this is an entry-level position, preference will be given to candidates with FLORIDA-based experience in conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessment reports in accordance with ASTM requirements.   Familiarity with the wireless communications industry and/or experience in dealing with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) would also be weighed heavily in our consideration.  This position will require a good deal of independent research of local, state, and federal resources in compiling the information required for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).  This position is a growth opportunity for the right candidate to eventually perform field inspections for various property types and evolve into a full-fledged project manager for Phase I ESAs,  NEPA Screening Reports and environmental sampling and field work. Strong technical report writing  and computer research skills are a must, and specific Phase I ESA experience is a bonus.  This position typically involves approximately 50 percent time in the field and 50 percent of your time spent in our home office in Delray Beach. Additional skills required: Excellent grasp of Microsoft Office Suite Programs Excellent report writing skills, as well as computer and internet research skills Excellent communication and management skills Excellent time management and organizational skills.  This position will require you to manage the required research, report writing and timely filing of electronic deliverables for several projects simultaneously. Ability to complete assignments on-time and within budget Ability to travel on short notice (one week or less).  This position will require travel primarily throughout south and central Florida as well as occasional trips to more distant project locations.  All travel-related business expenses are reimbursed. OSHA HAZWOPER Certification is preferred, but can be obtained while in training with our firm.. A strong preference will be afforded to candidates with a working knowledge of, and experience with Phase I ESAs and/or NEPA reviews. Desired Skills and Experience

BA or BS in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Geology, Engineering or related fields. Familiarity with Phase I Site Assessments is strongly preferred.
