EnviroDesign Associates is a boutique Civil Engineering and Environmental Consulting Firm Located in South Florida. We are currently seeking an AutoCAD Drafter/Designer to join our civil engineering team to assist with a variety of residential and commercial site development projects at our offices in Delray Beach.

Typical projects involve civil / site design & permitting for various residential, commercial and governmental projects.

Desired Skills and Experience

TWO TO FIVE YEARS OF AUTOCAD EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED - 3D AUTOCAD EXPERIENCE IS NOT NECESSARY.
A WORKING PROFICIENCY IN MS OFFICE SUITE PROGRAMS IS DESIRED, AS WELL.

Experience with site work, grading, drainage or underground utility design is an advantage.
Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

WHILE THIS IS AN AUTOCAD DRAFTING POSITION, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD BE OPEN AND WILLING TO BECOME INVOLVED IN SIMPLE DESIGN, CALCULATIONS AND AGENCY INTERACTION OR PERMITTING. ADDITIONAL DESIGN WORK AND CROSS-TRAINING MAY ALSO INCLUDE:

Residential grading and drainage design and plan development.
Development of cross sections, details and as-built drawings.
Site inspections and field verification of site design improvements
Area calculations and take-offs.
Quantity Take-offs for cost estimates
Simple grading design for balanced cut / fill calculations and application of ADA grading and compliance guidelines.
Design of straight-forward utility systems, including stormwater conveyance & detention systems, water services, sanitary sewer services, and coordination of electrical / MEP considerations.
Preparation of Pollution Prevention Plans, including soil erosion / stability considerations, Best Management Practices and swale / stormwater conveyance design.
Assist Project Managers with project coordination, including coordination with client, project team members, outside professionals and governmental agencies.
